Why I do what I do - sales posts and whatnot

Hey guys!  I know my first couple of posts have all been sales posts, and I'm sorry about that.  I've been trying to get my Etsy shop up and running again, and trying to get my advertisements back out there has been of the utmost priority.  It's a slow road, but I know I will get there.  Here, I have free advertisement, and I might as well exploit it, right?  =P  It can't hurt!  I also use other social media platforms, as best I can.  It's most definitely slow going, but I don't mind.  If it gets me at least once sale, then it was worth it.  Exposure, exposure, exposure, just like real estate.  ;]

So, now we come to the other purpose behind my blog.  I was originally going to talk about my fibromyalgia, epilepsy, and other daily comings and goings, but I am terrible about writing things.  Let's be real, I couldn't ever even keep a diary going daily.  Journalism simply wasn't for me.  Now, fiction writing...that was a different story.  Literally.

I may well spot out links to my fanfics, my novel, things I am doing while crafting, that sort of thing, but writing about my life is less likely, it seems.  I just don't find myself that interesting!  The hobbies I do, however - that is an entirely different story!

My Little Pony - these charming plastic ponies have ensnared me for longer than I care to say.  I love them dearly, and I can't let go of my obsession with them.  I collect and customize them, and enjoy both hobbies entirely.  Be on the lookout for reroots, customs, and new additions to my collection!

Monster High and Ever After High - these dolls...where do I even begin?  I grew up on old monster movies (you know what I'm talking about; the classics, like Creatures from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, Dracula, etc), so these dolls always had a nostalgic draw for me.  Now, I can't help but become obsessed with them, and now I admin on the Monster High Catacombs FaceBook page.  It's a wonderful job, and I can't imagine being without it.  I get to see news as it's coming, be involved with a wonderful community, and just have a blast.

Jewelry making - my aunt Susan got me started on this hobby when I was thirteen, and I haven't looked back since.  I have gone from making jewelry for people to making jewelry for dolls as well.  It's much more difficult to make them for tiny figures, but it's so much fun!  I love it, and it's always a challenge, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I am trying to keep plenty of both stocked in my store (going to be tricky, I am sure), as my customers seem to like both.

Misc other crafts - Ok, so crafting runs in my family's blood.  My dad's mother loves to craft, and my mom's family owned a craft store (my mom's dad even ran a hobby shop on the aircraft carrier in the Navy!).  Therefore, it's only natural that I have a love and desire to do anything and everything crafty as well.  I have dabbled in ceramics (I have my own kiln that a dear friend gave to me!), crochet, a tiny bit of sewing, I cook like a madwoman when I feel well enough), I've earned my second degree black belt in karate (back before my fibro got to be too much to handle), I read with a voracious appetite, and Smashbook when the odd desire strikes.  Don't ask me to sew, as I am terrible at it.  I don't know why, but that is one thing I can't seem to figure out.  o.O

The next thing I want to conquer is Decoden - it seems easy enough, and looks so gorgeous.  I love how like frosting it appears, and how fun and funky each piece turns out.  <3 candy="" like="" nbsp="" p="" ust="">
Anyway, my only other major hobby is writing, which I am pretty passionate about.  I love it, and even though I don't have enough time for it, what with my fibro and other things I -try- to do, I enjoy it immensely.

Please enjoy my blog, feel free to ask questions and talk with me over anything and everything!  I love having a chance to talk with people.  =]
